Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV: Australia pricing confirmed from $37,888

84km of electric range, a 50-litre fuel tank, and a combined 900km total. The Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV makes a serious case for drivers not yet ready to go fully electric.

Leapmotor has confirmed Australian pricing for the B10 Hybrid EV, landing from $37,888 MSRP for the Style and $40,888 MSRP for the Design. The arrival follows the all-electric B10, adding a range-extender powertrain to the same platform and the same cabin.

This is an extended-range EV, not a conventional hybrid. The 1.5-litre petrol engine never drives the wheels. It runs exclusively as a generator, recharging the 18.8kWh LFP battery pack when needed. The electric motor does all the work, producing 160kW and 240Nm, good for 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds.

How the powertrain actually works

EREVs are a well-established formula in China. Leapmotor has already run this approach in the C10, where roughly half of all buyers choose the hybrid variant over the pure BEV. The B10 Hybrid EV carries the same logic into the smaller SUV segment.

The 18.8kWh LFP battery delivers up to 84km of WLTP electric range. Plug in for daily commuting and most drivers will rarely touch the petrol engine. Add the 50-litre fuel tank and the total combined range stretches to 900km (WLTP). Four energy modes, EV+, EV, Fuel and Power+, let drivers manage the balance depending on conditions.

Charging is via 6.6kW AC or DC fast charging up to 46kW, hitting 30-80% in approximately 20 minutes. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability is included in the launch offer pack.

Variants and equipment

Two variants are available. The Style covers the foundations: 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic glass roof, 360-degree camera, integrated dashcam, LED auto headlights, 14.6-inch central touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Leapmotor connected services. The infotainment system runs LEAP OS 4.0 Plus on a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.

The Design adds TechnoLeather seats, power-adjustable fronts with heating and ventilation, a heated steering wheel, 12-speaker audio, multi-colour ambient lighting, power tailgate, rear privacy glass, and Hankook iON evo tyres. Those tyres are EV-rated, tuned for all-season handling and reduced road noise.

Dimensions and platform

The B10 Hybrid EV measures 4,515mm long, 1,885mm wide and 1,665mm tall, with a 2,735mm wheelbase. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with a multi-link rear suspension setup developed with input from the Stellantis Chassis Master Team.

Stellantis holds a 21 percent stake in Leapmotor International, the joint venture responsible for all sales outside China. That relationship brings chassis development resources most Chinese start-ups at this price point simply do not have access to.

Warranty and servicing

Leapmotor Care backs the B10 Hybrid EV with an 8-year/160,000km high voltage battery warranty, 8-year capped price servicing, 8-year roadside assist, and a 6-year/150,000km vehicle warranty. Service intervals are every 12 months or 20,000km.

Launch offer

The first 500 orders placed before 30 September 2026 and delivered before 31 December lock in a Gift Pack. That includes three years of complimentary capped price servicing, premium paint at no extra cost, a 7kW wallbox charger and a V2L cable with carry case.

At $37,888 drive-away is still some distance away, but as a starting MSRP in a segment that includes the BYD Sealion 5 and the Geely Starray, the B10 Hybrid EV arrives with a credible spec sheet and a powertrain that suits the reality of how most Australians actually drive. Deliveries are underway now.
